![]() The USB Loader GX screen intermittently flashes as if it's looking for the software. I've tried taking out the SD card and restarting. In any event, any opportunity to hit a button that says "Wii Menu" on it just reboots USB Loader GX and reinitializes the external HD. I tried removing the priiloader folder from the SD card but that didn't change anything. I tried going in and accessing the app but none of the buttons on my wiimote did anything (Both of the included Wiimotes are Motion Plus if that is an issue). The only thread I found that might describe my problem had to do with an app called Priiloader (which seems to be installed on this SD card) and its ability to set USB Loader GX as the default menu. I would be fine starting from scratch and wiping the wii but I don't know how to do that without access to the main menu. I don't really know where to start as far as deleting things from the SD card or configuring things inside the loader. My issue is that I cannot access the Wii main menu, so I cannot access any settings or connect to the internet. There are about 80 games on an external drive included and I've started a bunch and they all seem to work fine. It has Homebrew and USB Loader GX installed amongst other apps. ![]() It is especially important for users of BootMii on IOS.I just purchased a used Wii. Priiloader adds a secondary level of brick protection, and is highly recommended even if BootMii was installed as boot2. nand.bin is a backup of your console’s internal memory, while keys.bin are your console’s keys. Two files will have been created on the root of your SD Card: nand.bin and keys.bin. Or, you can edit sd:/bootmii/bootmii.ini manually. If you would like to change this, you can use the app BootMii Config Editor. ![]() To restore from a NAND backup on your SD card, you can follow the instructions for RestoreMii.įamily edition Wiis (Wiis without GameCube ports) CANNOT restore NAND backups.Īs stated earlier, if you have BootMii installed as boot2, it will launch every time you start your console. Try your best to identify your brick condition and reverse the action that caused it in the first place. There are often better ways to unbrick your console. Note: restoring a NAND backup is usually a last resort. Press the Back button (the one with an arrow), then press either the Wii Menu button or the Homebrew Channel button to exit BootMii. As long all non-bad blocks are successfully verified, this should be fine. If you have factory bad blocks with uncorrectable pages, these blocks may fail to verify.Ideally, all the blocks should be green after the verification process. After the previous step completes, BootMii will verify the backup.Don’t worry when you see some on a NAND backup. “Bad Blocks” are normal, and mostly originate from the factory due to NAND binning. You can watch the progress on the screen. Select the Options button (the icon with the gears). To navigate between options, press POWER. You must use the POWER and RESET buttons on your console, or a GameCube controller plugged into port 1. ![]() Navigating BootMii is not possible using a Wii Remote. You should see an image similar to the below now on your screen: Download this zip file and extract it to the root of your SD card, then try again. If the screen stays black and the blue disc drive light is blinking upon launching BootMii, you are missing the BootMii files on your SD card. If the Launch BootMii button does not appear in the Homebrew Channel, re-launch the HackMii Installer and install BootMii. Press the HOME Button, then select “Launch BootMii”. If you have BootMii installed as boot2, you will need to launch BootMii by restarting the console.
